Kirk Herbstreit compares Georgia to NFL team, but it's not the compliment you'd think

ESPN's College GameDay talked in great length about Georgia during their pregame show on Saturday. One would likely assume they had a lot of good things to say since UGA is the No. 5 team in the country, but the opposite was actually true.

The GameDay crew spent their entire segment on Georgia talking about how they thought Mississippi State had a good chance to pull off the upset on Saturday. That obviously turned out to not be the case as Georgia cruised to an easy 41-21 victory in Starkville.

But it was a comment made by Kirk Herbstreit that stood out the most because he compared Georgia to the NFL's Denver Broncos. Denver is 8-2 this season, so this was probably a good comparison right? Unfortunately Herbstreit's comparison did not shine a positive light on Georgia at all.

Kirk Herbsteit's NFL comparison is the last thing Georgia wants to see

Everyone knows that Georgia has had their issues with starting slow this season. They have done that in almost every game this season before storming back and winning a close game. Herbstreit has noticed this trend as well and compared UGA to the Denver Broncos who struggle early in games as well before finding a way to win late.

This comparison made a lot of sense when Herbstreit made it Saturday morning, but it no longer applies after Georgia's win over Mississippi State. Georgia did give up a touchdown to Mississippi State on their opening drive to fall behind 7-0, but it was all UGA after that. Georgia went on a 24-0 run to end the first half before cruising to a comfortable 20 point victory in the second half.

Georgia finally proved they can play a full 60 minutes which is what Herbstreit was saying they haven't done yet this season. But Georgia proved Herbstreit's comparison wrong because they didn't struggle in the first half and were finally able to enjoy a stress free victory against Mississippi State.
