There has been a lot of news in the NFL surrounding former Georgia football stars already this offseason, but the Bulldog in the news the most is quarterback Matthew Stafford.

Stafford has been the QB for the Los Angeles Rams for four years now, which includes a Super Bowl win during his first season with the organization. But as Stafford and the Rams entered the offseason, their relationship was in question as the Rams gave Stafford permission to search for a trade destination.

After a week of searching and a few teams showing interest, the Rams and Stafford ended up signing a new contract that would keep Stafford in LA for at least two more seasons.

This however wasn't the only news surrounding Stafford this offseason as the Rams have now gone out and added an elite wide receiver for Stafford to throw to for the next few years.

Rams getting some help for Stafford

According to Kevin Patra with NFL.com, the Rams have signed wide receiver Davante Adams to a two-year, $46 million deal.

This news is very significant not just for Stafford, but the entire organization because the Rams have made it clear that they want to trade their current star wide receiver Cooper Kupp. So if Kupp does end up leaving LA, Adams will come in and be able to immediately replace him.

But what if Kupp ends up staying in LA as well? That would immediately give the Rams the best wide receiver room in the NFL combining these two with Puka Nacua as well. And Stafford clearly has the arm talent that would pair well with three elite receivers like these three.

But regardless of what ends up happening with Kupp and the Rams, Stafford has a new weapon at his disposal, and these two could instantly turn into one of the best duos in the entire NFL.
