Georgia football trails Ole Miss at the half 21-20 in a game that has lived up to all the hype so far. Both offenses are moving the ball at will as this game has turned into a shootout that not many saw coming.
Tensions are high between Georgia and Ole Miss as both teams are looking to take control of the SEC standings with a win. But even if this game is as intense as it is, Lane Kiffin is continuing to live up to his questionable reputation as he decided to mock Kirby Smart for no reason at the end of the first half.
Does Lane Kiffin say, “I was clapping” here after his timeout to ice the kicker?

Lane Kiffin mocks Kirby Smart for viral timeout incident
With two seconds to play in the half and Georgia lining up for a field goal, Kiffin decided to use a timeout to ice Georgia's kicker. This plan didn't work because the Bulldogs made the field goal which cut the Ole Miss lead to one point at the half.
After Kiffin called the timeout though the camera panned to him and he was seen saying he was clapping instead of calling a timeout. This was very clearly a joke because he did mean to call a timeout, but it was a shot directed at Smart after his viral incident that took place during Georgia's win over Auburn last week.
Last week Smart went viral for calling a timeout and then looking like he was arguing with officials that he was just clapping instead. This incident was cleared up in the following days as Smart confirmed he was informing the officials that an Auburn safety was clapping in an attempt to throw Georgia's offense off which is illegal.
Kiffin clearly saw this moment take place last week, so he decided to mock Smart for absolutely no reason at all. But at the end of the day this is what is expected from Kiffin, so the hope is that Smart either didn't notice or won't let it bother him because Georgia needs him at his best if they expect to win this game.
