Former Georgia football quarterback Carson Beck has been on quite the journey the last few months. Not that long ago he was the starting quarterback for Georgia and was attempting to lead the Bulldogs to not just an SEC Championship, but a National Championship.
Those goals however were cut short as he suffered an elbow injury on the final play of the SEC Championship game. From there he began receiving medical attention, but his injury recovery became old news as he shockingly announced that he was transferring to Miami (FL) for his final season of college football.
Drama has continued to follow Beck since making the move to Miami, but his rehab from his injury and surgery has remained constant. Beck has yet to take the field with Miami during practice, but a recent update from CBS Sports' Brandon Marcello shows that Beck is healthy and ready to start preparing for the season ahead.
Miami quarterback Carson Beck has been cleared to throw the football, coach Mario Cristobal told @CBSSports on Friday.

Carson Beck is healthy and returning to practice
The above post shows that Beck is 100 percent healthy and able to start throwing a football again, something he hasn't done since his injury in the SEC Championship game.
Miami did just end their spring ball schedule, so it's unfortunate for Beck that he won't be able to participate in any of these practices. But according to Miami head coach Mario Cristobal, it sounds like this was a calculated decision.
"He's there. It's ready," Cristobal shared via cbssports.com. "Since we're at the end of spring ball, we just took the extra precaution to (wait) another week."
It will be interesting to see how the rest of the offseason unfolds for Beck and how he does in Miami. But even though Georgia fans may hope he struggles with the Hurricanes, everyone should be thankful to see that he is healthy again because this injury came while he was fighting for Georgia and trying to bring home a championship.
