Latest Georgia injury report reveals two Bulldogs likely making a return
Georgia football is just two days away from kicking things off in their annual rivalry game against the Florida Gators.
Coming off a bye week, the obvious hope is that UGA would see a lot of improvement in their injury report. And while that was the case for some, Kirby Smart has also added some new names to the report as well.
Name | Status |
---|---|
Dan Jackson | Out (1st half only) |
Joenel Aguero | Out (1st half only) |
Smael Mondon | Out |
Roderick Robinson | Out |
Branson Robinson | Out |
Joseph Jonah-Ajonye | Out |
Tate Ratledge | Probable |
Jordan Hall | Probable |
Key Takeaways
1. Jackson and Aguero out for 1st half
Dan Jackson and Joenel Aguero are listed on the injury report this week for Georgia, but they thankfully are not actually injured. Both players are out for the first half after receiving target penalties in the second half of Georgia's win over Texas two weeks ago.
Many fans felt like these targeting calls were unjust and undeserved and hoped they would be overruled during the bye week so they could play against Florida the entire game. That unfortunately did not happen, so Georgia will be without two key players for the first 30 minutes of their game against Florida.
2. The Trevor Etienne show part 2
Just like in the game against Texas, Trevor Etienne is going to essentially be a one man army in the backfield. Both Roderick Robinson and Roderick Robinson have been ruled out for Saturday's game, meaning the running back room will be very thin once again.
Etienne did just fine with all the extra carries against Texas, but now that he is going up against his former team this weekend he probably will enjoy the extra workload.
3. Tate Ratledge and Jordan Hall likely back
Thankfully it sounds like both Tate Ratledge and Jordan Hall will be back on Saturday. Smart gave an injury update for both players earlier this week and made it seem like this would be the case, but you never know what's going to happen until the game gets here.
Since they are listed as probable there is still a chance they don't play, but it's looking more and more like both will, even if it is in more of a decreased role than we are used to seeing.
