The transfer portal is in full swing and Georgia football has already seen a lot of developments take place. They have had a few Bulldogs enter the portal already, with a star wide receiver already changing his mind and deciding to stay at Georgia. On top of that, Kirby Smart and his staff have already begun targeting new players in the portal as well.
One of those players is Georgia Tech wide receiver Eric Singleton Jr. Since entering the portal, Singleton was immediately interested in Georgia as he set up his first visit with the Bulldogs right away. While that made it seem like Georgia was the sole leader in his recruitment, it turns out that a few others teams are heavily involved as well.
Eric Singleton top 3
According to On3, Singleton has also set up visits to Auburn and Ole Miss along with Georgia.
While this doesn't specifically state these are his top three schools, one would assume they are as of now. But what everyone wants to know is who the leader in his recruitment is. However, that is a little unclear right now as well.
Differing opinions on who leads Singleton's recruitment
According to On3, Auburn is the heavy favorite to win this recruitment. They give the Tigers a 95 percent chance to win this battle compared to just 3 percent for Georgia.
However, college football expert Josh Pate does not agree. Pate is a well respected name in the college football world who works for CBS Sports, and he stated on his show that he believes Georgia is the "leader in the clubhouse" right now.
We will all find out a lot more after Singleton takes these three visits, but right now it still seems like any one of these teams has a chance to win. But hopefully it's Georgia that is able to win out, because they could really use some help in their wide receiver room next season.
