Five-star quarterback Jayden Wade is nearing his final decision as he will announce his commitment on Nov. 16. Georgia is one of the finalists Wade will be deciding between along with Michigan, Texas, Florida, Ohio State, Oregon and Washington.

No predictions have been made in Wade's recruitment yet and a big reason for that is because of all of the unknown surrounding his recruitment. That however changed on Friday as Mike Evans, who is a representative of Wade, made a big announcement that completely changes Wade's recruitment.

5-star Jayden Wade gives Georgia great news

Evans shared on Friday that there are three schools that have separated themselves from the rest of the pack in Wade's recruitment, and Georgia is one of those schools. Ohio State and Texas are the two other schools who are the top of Wade's recruitment right now as well.

Wade not only is the No. 1 quarterback in the 2028 recruiting class but he is also the top ranked player in the country. So it's obvious why this is such an important recruitment for Georgia, but there is an even bigger reason why this is such a crucial recruitment for UGA.

Georgia already has Jared Curtis coming to Athens next season who is the No. 1 QB in the 2026 class. Curtis likely is the future of the program after Gunner Stockton's career comes to an end, but at this point it isn't clear who will be the next QB after Curtis. If Wade commits to Georgia however he would be next in line.

Imagining a scenario where Georgia goes from Stockton to Curtis to Wade is about as good as it gets. No school in the country would be able to compete with that, so this would set Georgia up to stay on top of the college football world for years to come.

While it's unclear if UGA is the team to beat right now or not, Georgia is in as good of a spot as they can be. And in a few short days they will find out if Wade will be a Bulldog or not.
