One thing everyone learned this past NFL season is that drafting former Georgia football players is a very good idea if you want your favorite NFL to win the Super Bowl. That is exactly what happened with the Philadelphia Eagles this season as they had a whopping six Bulldogs on their team.

Considering most Georgia football fans are fans of the Atlanta Falcons, it was very disappointing to watch the Falcons year after year passing on every Bulldog in the previous NFL Drafts. Who knows if they would have won a Super Bowl this year instead of the Eagles, but they likely would have had a much better season.

But those failures from the Falcons are in the past, so now all Georgia fans can hope for is that they will draft some Bulldogs this year. And according to safety Malaki Starks, there is a chance that could happen at this year's Draft.

Starks to meet with the Falcons at the NFL Combine

The NFL Combine begins Thursday, Feb. 27 in Indianapolis, IN. Starks will not participate until Friday as that is when the defensive backs take their turn going through drills, but he still has the chance to meet with any NFL teams that have interest in drafting him. And Starks publicly stated on Thursday that one of those teams he will meet with is the Atlanta Falcons.

Starks is one of three Bulldogs projected to go in the first round in this year's draft, so the Falcons won't have many chances to select Starks. But the Falcons do hold the 15th pick in the draft, and that is right around where many NFL Draft experts are projecting Starks to get selected. So if Starks is still sitting there when it's time for the Falcons to make their pick, then there is a good chance he could be headed to Atlanta.

There are a few other teams who are interested in Starks as well, including Tampa Bay who will also meet with Starks at the Combine as well. But as it stands right now, it looks like there is a chance the Falcons could pick Starks in this year's draft which would be an amazing thing for all Georgia fans.
