When Carson Beck entered the Transfer Portal last year it was clear that he wanted to move to a school where he could win a National Championship. Beck was at a point in his college career where development wasn't really needed, so he wanted to go somewhere where he felt he could win a title.
Miami was able to sell him on that dream, but that is something that Georgia could obviously offer him as well. So why did Beck go to Miami then? There are likely a lot of reasons, but there is one glaring offer Miami made him that Georgia couldn't match even if they wanted to.
Carson Beck's greatest gift of all is something Georgia couldn't give him
As everyone knows, Beck chose to go to Miami and will now play for a National Championship against Indiana. So he clearly made the right decision to go to Miami if his goal was to go to a place where he could win a national title. But that might not be the only reason he moved to Miami because he may have chose the Hurricanes because they get to host the 2026 National Championship game.

That's right, Beck and Miami will face Indiana in the National Championship game in their own stadium. While this technically won't be a home game because Indiana will be allotted an equal number of tickets, the fact that they don't have to travel and can sleep in their own homes is one of the best advantages they have going into this game.
This opportunity could've been something the Hurricanes discussed with Beck to win his recruitment out of the Transfer Portal last year. Beck clearly could've gone to a few different schools where he could compete for a championship, but the opportunity to play in his home stadium is something only Miami could offer him. So if something like that mattered to him, that could be a big reason why he chose Miami in the first place.
Beck and Miami will take on Indiana in their own stadium with a National Championship on the line on Monday, Jan. 19.
