Georgia football is heading north to take on the No. 15 Tennessee Volunteers this Satuday in the biggest game of UGA's young season. This is the game of the week in all of college football as ESPN's College GameDay will be in town to kick the festivities off early Saturday morning.
There are a lot of things that have to go right for Georgia to win this game, but the biggest key of all may just be Mike Bobo unleashing Gunner Stockton, which he more then owes him at this point.
Mike Bobo owes Gunner Stockton some trust
So far this season the Bulldogs offense has been pretty bland. This likely has been by design to prevent teams like Tennessee from seeing what they can do on tape, but it's time to open up the playbook. It's time for Bobo to put his full faith in Stockton and let him have a chance to go out and win this game for Georgia.
The play calls Bobo made in Georgia's first two games of the season were good enough for UGA to win those games, so there really aren't any problems with how he called them. But Georgia fans had a lot of issues with how Bobo ran the offense last season and so far they haven't been very impressed this year either. But that can all change this weekend.
Bobo needs to open up the entire playbook and give Stockton a chance to be the best version of himself and lead Georgia to victory. If the Bulldogs come up short, at least they would be able to say they did everything they could on offense to win the game. The last thing anyone wants is for UGA to play scared and that be the reason Tennessee pulls off this upset.
The time is now. It is time to let Stockton shine and lead Georgia to a big victory when everyone across the country continues to doubt him. It is time for Bobo to put his big boy pants on and let Stockton win this game for Georgia.
