Kemon Spell has been sending Georgia a lot of signals. The five-star running back was in Athens this weekend as he planned to make a short visit to Georgia before the college football world enters a recruiting dead period next month.

This visit however apparently is going extremely well, so much so that Jeff Sentell with Dawg Nation shared that he decided to extend his visit.

“Several of those Friday guys, like Spell and Patterson, have decided to stay over for the weekend,” Sentell shared via dawgnation.com. “That can only help Georgia.”

5-star's change of plans is the best thing that could've happend to Georgia

Spell was committed to Penn State for about a year, but towards the end of last season he backed off that commitment. That opened the door for Georgia to get involved, and they have used that to their advantage.

The bad news for Georgia though is that Penn State once again is the team to beat. At least that’s what it looked like entering this weekend. But the fact that Spell extended his visit longer than he was anticipating could be a sign that Georgia is catching up or even surpassed Penn State.

For now though the Nittany Lions remain in the lead. Penn State has the most recent crystal ball prediction in their favor, and as long as that is the case Georgia is running this race in second place. But this weekend's visit did a lot for Georgia and they now have a legitmate shot to win this recruitment.

Spell doesn't plan on announcing a commitment soon, so this more than likely won't be his last visit to Athens. But as long as Georgia continues recruiting him hard then they will have a chance to win this battle.
