This weekend is one of the most important weekends for Georgia football all offseason. While there are many elite recruits visiting this weekend, five-star running back Kemon Spell is arguably the most important.
Spell is the No. 7 overall player in the country and the top ranked running back in the 2027 class as well. Ever since he decommitted from Penn State the Bulldogs have been one of his top schools, and Spell reiterated that in his message to Georgia on social media during his visit to Athens.

This wasn't the only post he made during his visit either as he continued to hint at UGA potentially being his top choice right now.

5-star RB's visit to Georgia could be changing everything
Georgia's last opportunity to recruit before a long dead period is this weekend, and the Bulldogs are taking full advantage of that by bringing in many of the best recruits across the country. Spell however is one of the most talented players on campus this weekend, and Georgia is doing everything they can to get him in their recruiting class.
Spell decommitted from Penn State a few months ago after the Nittany Lions fired James Franklin. Georgia was thought to be the favorite after that decision, but Penn State recently received a prediction in their favor to win his recruitment again. But Georgia insiders have continued to say that the Bulldogs still have a chance to win this recruitment, and these messages from Spell confirm that.
Georgia however still has some work to do to actually win this recruitment. That doesn't mean they won't be able to, but Penn State might still be the team to beat.
The good news is that Spell doesn't plan on committing anytime soon, so Georgia has plenty of time to come out on top.
