MNF gave Kirby Smart and Georgia incredible recruiting help moving forward

Kirby Smart is obviously an incredible recruiter in his own regard. With back-to-back-to-back (and maybe a few more) top-10 recruiting classes, the Georgia Bulldogs have had rosters filled to the brim with premier talent.

However, it never hurts when Smart or any of his staff members get a little extra help, no matter where it comes from, but especially when it's from a former player who has "made it."

After the NFL's Monday Night Football game between the Green Bay Packers and the Philadelphia Eagles, Smart and the Bulldogs got just that.

Former Georgia Bulldogs flood Monday Night Football

Following the game, which the Eagles won, all of the former Georgia players on the two teams got together for a reunion and a photo. Astonishingly, out of the combined 106 players between the Green Bay and Philadelphia rosters, 10 of them were former Bulldogs.

From Philadelphia's third-year linebacker Kelee Ringo to Green Bay's rookie defensive lineman Nazir Stackhouse and more, there were nearly a dozen former Georgia players not just at the game, but in the game.

Proving that your program can take a high school prospect and develop him into a player who will "make it" in the NFL is a huge boost on the recruiting trail. The picture that the Georgia football program was worth a thousand words (and maybe a thousand future recruits).

Currently, the Bulldogs have 57 former players on 53-man rosters across the NFL, the third most for any collegiate program in the country (only trailing Ohio State with 61 and Alabama with 63).

Last year, Smart brought in the No. 2 recruiting class of 2025 and is on track to do the same thing (if not better) with the class of 2026. For the class of 2027, Smart and his staff have already received four commitments from blue-chip prospects and are trending in the right direction for many more elite athletes to come their way.
