Ever since Kirby Smart has been head coach Georgia has brought in some of the best recruiting classes in the country. Georgia is not looking to slow down on hunting elite recruits in the 227 recruiting class this year either.
After starting off the season with three big wins the Bulldogs come back home to play their toughest challenge yet against the Oklahoma Sooners. With a primetime spot at 3:30 pm EST, this game provides the perfect opportunity to bring some elite high school recruits on a visit, and Smart is doing just that.
Several Elite Prospects to be in attendance for Georgia vs Oklahoma
Some of Georgia's most important recruits in the 2027 recruiting cycle will be in attendance for the Oklahoma game on Saturday. On that list includes five-star running back Kemon Spell.
Spell is a top recruit from Pennsylvania that is considered the No. 1 running back in the country. This will be yet another visit for the talented recruit already this year to Georgia, which is a great sign for the hard commit's allegiance to Athens. Georgia originally flipped Spell from Penn State back in February and since then he has not looked elsewhere even with other school attempting to flip him.
Also to be in attendance is another five-star commit and second-best tight end in the class Jaxon Dollar. Dollar is a multi-sport athlete that has a tight end's frame with wide receiver ability, very similar to current Georgia freshman Kaiden Prothro. Dollar is in line to be the next great Georgia tight end to follow behind arguably the best tight end room in the nation. Rated as the best recruit in the state of North Carolina, the five-star tight end hard committed to Georgia in April.
Several other four and five-star recruits will be in attendance for this game as well, including Colton Nussmeier who is a four-star quarterback also committed to Georgia. The list of recruits notably includes 20 Georgia commits and just two players currently committed elsewhere (Corey Hadley with Nebraska, Jayden Arrington with NC Central) with the rest of visiting recruits still thinking about where they want to play.
Georgia vs Oklahoma is the perfect game day visit
Even though the Sooners are no longer ranked, Georgia faithful know better than to overlook them. Oklahoma came into the season a top 10 team and still have one of the best defenses in the country. Athens will be packed and the energy will feel like this is a top 10 playoff matchup.
For Georgia to be successful against Oklahoma they will need to enforce the line of scrimmage by running the ball and opening opportunities for the play action pass. If Georgia is successful in that aspect, it will be the perfect representation as to what Spell and Dollar can expect for their future in Athens and why every recruit in town should think hard about why Georgia could be the right school for them.
Georgia has one of the best atmospheres in the country, and that will be on full display this Saturday for every recruit to take in. That is why Saturday's game is attracting so many high profile recruits and why Georgia needs to take full advantage of this opportunity on the recruiting trail.
