Last week Georgia received some terrible news when five-star quarterback Jared Curtis flipped his commitment to Vanderbilt. The rough start to the week however did not last as the Bulldogs went on to defeat Alabama and win the SEC Championship Saturday night.
But it's impossible to forget about Curtis and what he could have brought to Georgia in the future had he stayed true to his commitment. But even if Curtis, who is the No. 1 recruit in the 2026 class, won't be celebrating Georgia's victory over Alabama, the No. 1 overall recruit in the 2028 recruiting class was very excited to see Georgia win.

5-star QB celebrates Georgia's SEC Championship victory
Jayden Wade is a five-star quarterback in the 2028 recruiting class. In fact, he is the No. 1 overall recruit in the country for his grade as well.
Georgia fans likely recognize his name because he committed to Georgia only a few weeks ago. So even though Curtis is no longer coming to Georgia, the Bulldogs do have a commitment from Wade who is the top ranked player in the 2028 recruiting class.
Wade still has two years before he is able to officially sign with Georgia, so at this point it is impossible to predict what is going to happen to his recruitment. But as it stands today he is 100 percent locked in with Georgia and is celebrating their big win over Alabama Saturday night.
Georgia fans spent a lot of time dreaming about Curtis winning championships for them, but that unfortunately won't be occurring. But Georgia fans can now look forward to Wade's arrivial in the future and the potential championships he will bring to the program. And based on how talented of a player he already is, there is a good chance he will bring multiple titles to Athens during his career.
