All eyes were on the football field Saturday night in Athens as Georgia took down Texas 35-10 in dominant fashion. But there was a lot going on behind the scenes that fans should be paying attention to as well.

Georgia had not one, not two, but three five-star quarterbacks visiting Athens for their game against Texas. This includes Jared Curtis who is coming to Georgia next year along with the No. 1 quarterbacks in the 2027 and 2028 recruiting class.

Georgia obviously already has Curtis's commitment locked down, but Jayden Wade, who is the No. 1 quarterback in the 2028 class, just announced his commitment to Georgia one day after his visit to Athens.

Nation's No. 1 recruit commits to Georgia

Not only is Wade the No. 1 quarterback in the 2028 recruiting class, but he is also the No. 1 overall player in the country as well. So earning Wade's commitment is as good as it can possibly get for Georgia.

A few weeks ago Wade announced his top seven schools that included Florida, Texas, Michigan, Ohio State, Oregon and Washington along with UGA. But Georgia was able to come out on top of all of these elite programs to bring the top ranked player to Athens.

Wade won't arrive at Georgia for a few years still, but it will be perfect timing when he does. Gunner Stockton will likely have one more year as Georgia's starting QB before he departs for the NFL, then after that Curtis will take over in 2027. Wade will then arrive in Athens in 2028 and sit behind Curtis for one season before he takes over in 2029. So Georgia will likely go from Stockton to Curtis and then to Wade, and it's impossible to have a better stretch of quarterbacks than that.

Georgia obviously is winning big on the field this season, but they are finding just as much success on the recruiting trail as well. The future of Georgia football is bright, and there is nothing that anyone can do to stop them.
