The injuries are continuing to build for Georgia football ahead of their matchup with Alabama this weekend in the SEC Championship game. Six Bulldogs were unfortunately ruled out as of Wednesday's injury report, but most of those players were expected to be out so it wasn't a huge shock.
Thursday's update to the injury report however had one big surprise to it as defensive back Zion Branch was an unexpected addition to the list of injuries.

Zion Branch injury update: Reserve DB questionable to play vs Alabama
According to Thursday night's injury report, Branch is questionable to play against Alabama in the SEC Championship game. He is a brand new addition to their injury report, so he likely suffered an injury during Thursday's practice that has not been made public yet.
Branch is a solid depth piece for Georgia's secondary that has quickly become a very reliable option during his first season in Athens. He had some struggles at the beginning of this season, but the second half of this year he has really been able to find his own and contribute in a positive way.
Alabama quarterback Ty Simpson dominated Georgia's secondary in their first matchup earlier this season. So the Bulldogs can't afford to be miss any contributor to their secondary because they will need as much help as they can get to slow Simpson down this time around.
Branch joins a few key Bulldogs in Georgia's injury report who have already been ruled out. The biggest injury entering this matchup for Georgia is to starting center Drew Bobo who's absence will really hurt UGA's offensive production. The good news is that Branch hasn't been ruled out yet and he still has a good chance to play this weekend, but Georgia fans better hope he does play because UGA can't afford many more injuries if they expect to win this game.
