NFL football is officially back after the Philadelphia Eagles held on to beat the Dallas Cowboys 24-20 on Thursday Night Football. While this game lived up to the hype on the field, the most talked about moment had nothing to do with football.

Before the first snap of the game, Eagles defensive lineman Jalen Carter approached Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott and spit on him. This resulted in his immediate ejection, which was more than deserved.

This incident broke the internet as football fans were very upset with Carter for doing this, but a new angle of the incident was released and it shows that Prescott may have baited Carter into spitting on him.

Dak Prescott spit at Jalen Carter first

The above video shows Prescott spitting in the direction of Carter before Carter ever even approached him. It's important to point out that Prescott did not spit on Carter, so he did not do anything wrong that was worthy of getting ejected like Carter or receive a flag of any kind. But it's hard to deny that he didn't bait Carter into approaching him and spitting on him.

Immediately after Prescott spit, he is seen smiling and laughing at Carter. Prescott even said something to him before Carter spit on him. It's hard to make out what was said, but Prescott was involved in this incident before Carter spit on him.

Regardless of what Prescott did or didn't do, this was still a terrible decision by Carter. Whether Prescott meant to bait him into it or not, Carter has to be smart enough to know that he is too valuable to the Eagles to do anything that could result in his ejection.

Thankfully the Eagles still won so he won't be blamed for a loss, but this game very easily could have gone the other way and Carter would have received a majority of the blame.
