It's that time of the recruiting season where programs are making their final moves as they look to complete their 2025 recruiting class. After a recent update to the 247Sports recruit rankings, Georgia football has found themseleves with 13 of their 22 commits inside the top 250 and the No. 5 overall class in the country.

While those are both very solid numbers, the class is by no means complete just yet. Kirby Smart and his staff are making a lot of moves still, and one in particular really excites me. This recruit is someone who is currently committed to an SEC rival, but just received a prediction to flip his commitment to Georgia.

Three-star defensive lineman Jeremiah McCloud

Jeremiah McCloud is a three-star defensive lineman from Leesburg, GA. According to On3's industry rankings, he is the No. 486 player in the country and the No. 46 defensive lineman as well. Rivals on the other hand is much higher on McCloud, ranking him as a four-star and the No. 229 player in the country.

McCloud has been committed to the Florida Gators since May 2nd, but it appears he is now trending to Georgia.

Jeremy Johnson with On3 logged a new official prediction on Wednesday, predicting McCloud to flip his commitment to Georgia. Now I know Johnson isn't the highest ranked commit Georgia would have in their recruiting class, but he still would be a massive pickup nonetheless.

Putting aside the excitment from flipping a commit from a rival like Flordia, Johnson would be able to provide much needed depth at a position of need. We are seeing first hand how rough it can be without solid depth, so Johnson initially would be able to provide some more of that as he develops under Smart and his staff.

There is no timetable for a commitment announcement yet, and this prediction by no means is confirmation that he will commit to Georgia. But things appear to be trending that way, so let's hope he joins the Bulldogs class very soon.
