Brock Bowers will always be a fan favorite in Athens. He was the best tight end in all of college football during his three seasons at Georgia, and ever since entering the NFL he has not slowed down.

Not only was Bowers one of Georgia's best players, but he was also one of the best teammates on the team. But some new intel was just disclosed about a sacrifice he made during the 2023 season that puts an even brighter spotlight on how great of a person he is.

New intel shines a spotlight on Brock Bowers' impressive career at Georgia

2023 was the final season Bowers spent at Georgia. Entering that season he was already regarded as the nation's No. 1 tight end and a lock to be a very high draft pick the following year. This meant that he could've made a lot of NIL money, but he chose to deny some money for his teammates.

Bowers still made a lot of money from his personal NIL deals, but he reportedly did not take any money from Georgia's collective. So what did that mean? Georgia was able to spend more money on other players to make the rest of the team around him that much better.

That strategy worked because Georgia went 12-0 in the regular season before being unfairly left out of the College Football Playoff after a close loss to Alabama in the SEC Championship game.

Bowers still has a long career in front of him in the NFL that could end with him cementing himself as the greatest tight end of all time. And while that alone would be a good enough reason for Georgia to celebrate him, this sacrifice he made as a junior in college shows just how great of a Bulldog he truly is.
