Georgia football is hoping to get some great news from four-star safety Tyriq Green on July 12. This is the date the Peach State safety will announce his commitment between the Bulldogs, Auburn and Miami (FL), and a new prediction has been officially placed for Georgia to win this recruitment.
#Georgia has just received a prediction to land 4-star S Tyriq Green by Adam Gorney of Rivals. 🐶

Georgia now the clear leader for 4-star in-state safety
According to Rivals' Adam Gorney, Georgia will be the team to come out on top and win the recruitment for Green over rival Auburn and Miami (FL).
The 247Sports composite rankings name Green as the No. 151 overall player in the country and the No. 10 player at his position in the 2026 recruiting class. He also is the No. 21 player from the state of Georgia as well.
The Bulldogs have been battling Auburn and Miami for quite some time now in Green's recruitment as they are the only three teams who hosted him on an official visit in June. Georgia however got to host Green last, and it looks like that visit is what convinced him to stay home and attend Georgia.
There are still a few more days for Georgia to hold on as Green is scheduled to announce his commitment on July 12. And if UGA does win this battle, July 12 could go down as the biggest day of the summer for Georgia as five-star tight end Kaiden Prothro is also scheduled to announce his commitment on that day as well.
Winning a recruitment over rival Auburn is always fun, especially after seeing them struggle so much on the trail this cycle. Finally beating Miami for a recruit will be refreshing as well because they have flipped two Georgia commits this cycle and beat Georgia for offensive tackle Jackson Cantwell as well. So hopefully this prediction comes true in a few days so Georgia can celebrate a big recruiting win over these programs.
