Georgia football has the luxury of having one of the best running back rooms in the country. But what if they made their running back even better? What if they added another player out of the Transfer Portal that would help make their running back room the No. 1 room in the country?

That would be a lot of fun, wouldn't it? Thankfully it looks like that is exactly what Georgia is about to do as On3's Steve Wiltfong just predicted Georgia to win the recruitment for former Kentucky running back Dante Dowdell.

Georgia closing in on SEC RB with latest Transfer Portal prediction

Nate Frazier and Chauncey Bowens will both return to Georgia next season. Both running backs are good enough to start at any program in the country, so the fact that Georgia gets to use them both is as good as it gets. But Georgia is looking to add yet another weapon in Dowdell, and it looks like they are going to accomplish that.

It may seem strange for Dowdell to want to come to Georgia knowing that Frazier and Bowens will be the lead backs for UGA next season. Georgia however does have some spots to fill a little further down their depth chart as Cash Jones is heading to the NFL Draft and Roderick Robinson entered the Transfer Portal.

Dowdell just finished up a season with Louisville where he recorded 560 yards and three touchdowns. It would be a bit surprising if he had that good of stats next season since Frazier and Bowens will remain at the top of the running back depth chart, but Dowdell brings SEC experience that Georgia will be able to use.

Dowdell is yet to commit to Georgia, so there is still a chance they come up short. But for now it looks like they are going to add a very solid addition to their running back room.
