Georgia football has a great opportunity in front of them this weekend to make some big progress on the recruiting trail. That is always the case whenever the Bulldogs have a big home game, and with No. 5 Ole Miss coming to Athens that is most certainly the case this weekend.

Georgia has a lot of big name visitors planning trips to campus this weekend, but there are some more unknown faces come to town as well. And one of those players is three-star wide receiver Jack Rhodes who could quickly become Georgia's next commit in their 2026 recruiting class.

Georgia identifies latest flip candidate in 3-star WR

Rhodes is a wide receiver from the state of Georgia who has been committed to Virginia since the end of July. He isn't the highest ranked player Georgia has ever pursued as he is the No. 1,753 player in the 2026 recruiting class according to the 247Sports composite rankings, but that shouldn't matter to UGA fans. If Kirby Smart and his staff want him then that is the only thing that matters.

Georgia is yet to offer a scholarship to Rhodes, but there is a chance that could come this weekend. And if it does it is hard to imagine him remaining committed to a program like Virginia instead of flipping to an in-state powerhouse like Georgia.

This would be a nice recruitment for Georgia to win because it would give them some momentum after losing a commit to Auburn on Tuesday. It still is unclear though how interested Geogia is in Rhodes because they haven't offered him, but if that offer comes Rhodes could make the move to UGA's recruiting class rather quickly.

So be sure to pay close attention to Rhodes after this visit because if Georgia wants him they will offer him during his visit and that could be the only thing Rhodes needs to ditch Virginia for UGA.
