It seems like every other week former Georgia tight end Brock Bowers is breaking another NFL record. Whether it be a new single game receiving record or the countless records he set last season as a rookie, Bowers has already shown that he may just be the No. 1 tight end in the NFL already.
Bowers has a lot of work to do if he is going to go down as the greatest tight end in NFL history, but the latest record he set will help him in that journey. After Bowers seven reception game against the Dallas Cowboys on Monday, the NFL announced that he has set the record for the most receptions (147) by a tight end in their first two seasons.

Brock Bowers is setting a record that may never be broken
So far in Bowers' career he is totaled a whopping 147 receptions. As mentioned, that is the most receptions by any tight end in NFL history during their first two seasons in the league, but it's the fact that Bowers has already set this record that is hard to comprehend.
Bowers did not have the luxury of playing in the playoffs last season, so he was not able to add to his total by playing beyond the regular season. On top of that, Bowers and the Las Vegas Raiders still have seven games left to play this season. They unfortunately will not make the playoffs again this season, but he has seven more games to add to this record he has already set. So there is a very real chance he ends this season with close to 200 receptions, which is a record that may never be broken.
Bowers has a long career in front of him still, and Georgia fans are probably hoping he moves to a new team that can actually help him make the playoffs. But until that time comes everyone can sit back and enjoy the show he is putting on because it is something the NFL has never seen before.
