The College Football Playoff is right around the corner and Georgia once again is in position to make a run in the playoff against this season. But as of now they are not the frontrunner like they are used to being.
Georgia currently sits at No. 5 in the latest edition of the CFP rankings, and most college football experts believe there is a big gap between UGA and the teams above them. Nick Saban just so happens to be one of those people as he said Ohio State, Texas A&M and Indiana are all clearly better than Georgia at this point in the season.
"There's three teams that are a cut above right now..

Those three teams are Ohio State, Texas A&M, and Indiana..
The other teams are good enough to beat them but those other teams have flaws" ~ Coach Saban#PMSLive pic.twitter.com/Yd87bvXUDe
Nick Saban crushes Georgia's CFP hopes
Ohio State, Indiana and Texas A&M are all undefeated and the top three teams in the CFP rankings. It's hard to argue against all three teams being ranked above Georgia at this point, but just because they are ranked higher doesn't mean they are significantly better.
Georgia's one loss this season came in a close game to Alabama, so that is hardly a loss they should be punished for. On top of their one loss not being that bad, Georgia has a long list of big wins as well. This includes Tennessee and Ole Miss as well as wins over Florida and Auburn which gives Georgia one of the best resumes in the country.
But that isn't good enough for Saban as he thinks those three teams are all much better than Georgia right now. The good news is that Georgia will have plenty of opportunities to prove him wrong which begins on Saturday against Texas. A dominant win would go a long way in making Saban, and the rest of the country, believe in them a lot more.
While Georgia doesn't need someone like Saban to believe in them, it would be nice to prove him wrong after what he said.
