The Big Ten has finally learned how to win National Championships. After relying on Ohio State to keep them relevant for nearly three decades, the Big Ten finally won three National Championships in a row with three different teams lifting the trophy.
This has led to their fans proclaiming that they are finally better than the SEC. That however couldn't be further from the truth. Sure the Big Ten can say they've had the best team in the country for the last three years, but that doesn't automatically mean they have the best conference.
Big Ten fans will make that claim until the SEC wins another title though, but Nick Saban has clearly grown tired of hearing them say that. So he took to the mic once and for all in an attempt to finally shut them up.

A couple National Championships doesn't mean the Big Ten is better than the SEC
As mentioned, the Big Ten winning the last three National Championships only proves that their best team was better than anyone in the SEC. Indiana can say they were better than every team in the SEC last year, Ohio State can say that in 2024 and Michigan can say that in 2023.
They however can't say their entire conference is better.
One way to prove that is by comparing the No. 1 Big Ten team to the No. 1 SEC team and so on to see how those matchups would look, and thankfully that is an exercise someone on social media recently did.

The matchups at the top of the league are intriguing. Ohio State and Alabama would be a great matchup as would the next few games below that, but once you get to the bottom of the list you finally see where the SEC flexes their muscles.
The bottom of the SEC is much better than the bottom of the Big Ten. In fact, matchups six through 16 all feel like they would probably go the SEC's way, and that is before considering that the Big Ten has two worse teams not even listed.
On top of that, the SEC has proven to have the most talented because they have the most players drafted in the NFL Draft every single year with two less teams in their conference.
So hats off to the Big Ten for having the best team over the last three years, but they still have a lot of work to do to claim they are the best overall conference.
Georgia is the SEC's best chance to shut the Big Ten up for good
In order to shut the Big Ten up someone in the SEC has to win a National Championship. The team most likely to do that this year might just be the Georgia Bulldogs.
Georgia is the only team in the SEC who has won a national title since Alabama last won one in 2020. On top of that, Georgia won the SEC each of the last two years and returns the fifth-most production in the country from last year's team.
Georgia also faces the easiest schedule in SEC this year, but don't let that fool you because it is still the 20th most difficult schedule in the country which further proves how much better the SEC is.
All it takes is one SEC team to win a National Championship to put the Big Ten back in their place. Georgia fans would like that title to come from them, but there are a handful of teams in the SEC capable of winning it all this season to end this debate once and for all.
