Ole Miss did more than just end Georgia’s season

Georgia will have a bad taste in their mouths thanks to Ole Miss for years to come. The Bulldogs entered the College Football Playoff with expectations of competing for and winning a National Championship, but the Rebels ended those hopes earlier than anyonethought possible in the quarterfinals.

But Ole Miss hasn't stopped beating Georgia as they just earned a commitment from former UGA defensive back Joenel Aguero out of the Transfer Portal.

Former Georgia DB gives Ole Miss another leg up on UGA

Aguero has spent the last three season at Georgia. He has turned into a very solid player for UGA as he racked up 39 tackles, two pass deflections and one interception this past season. This brings his total number of tackles to 72 in his career which shows how good he has been at Georgia.

But Aguero decided at the end of this season that he wanted to spend his final year of college football elsewhere, and it turns out that Ole Miss is where he wants to go.

This is an interesting choice considering he just lost to Ole Miss on the field about a week ago. Some might assume this would've left a bad taste in his mouth, be he apparently got over that loss pretty quickly as he is fine to play for them next season.

Georgia will get their chance at revenge against Ole Miss and Aguero next season as the Bulldogs will travel to Oxford to take on the Rebels. That will be one of the biggest games of the year simply because of what happened in the playoff, but Ole Miss will be very good again next year so this is a matchup Georgia won't be able to overlook.

Georgia will be just fine without Aguero as they have plenty of talent on their roster to make up for his loss. The Bulldogs however still have some work to do to improve their roster, and the secondary is an area where they may need to add a few pieces still.
