In one week Georgia will travel to Ole Miss in what is one of their biggest games this season. Not only will it have a big impact on the SEC Championship and College Football Playoff race, but the Bulldogs are looking for revenge after the Rebels knocked them out of the playoff next year.

Unfortunately for Georgia the Rebels are looking strong heading into next week as they just destroyed Auburn on Saturday 45-15. That may not seem like a big deal since Auburn is 4-4, but Georgia did just lose to that Auburn team two weeks ago.

Georgia shouldn't worry about their loss to Auburn anymore

When Georgia first loss to Auburn it felt like the sky was falling. The Tigers were unranked and having a rough season, so losing to them at home as the No. 1 team in the country felt like the end of the world.

Maybe it isn't that bad though.

Sure Georgia has less breathing room now because of that loss. They can really only afford one more loss to feel good about making the SEC Championship game and College Football Playoff, but losing to Auburn doesn't mean they are a bad team.

Auburn just happened to play the best game of their lives two weeks ago. Georgia also happened to play one of their worst games as well. Put all of that together and it ends in a Georgia loss on a last second field goal.

While it would be easy to point at Georgia's loss and the Rebels' win over Auburn as a reason why UGA could be in trouble next week, in reality that is not how sports work. Georgia is one of the best teams in the country even after that loss, and they still have a great chance to beat Ole Miss next week even though they just handled their business against Auburn.

Ole Miss could become a must win for Georgia

Ole Miss could easily turn into a must win for Georgia. Right now Georgia is playing Florida and if they lose that game that is the one loss they can have the rest of the year before they can't win the SEC or make the playoff anymore. So if Georgia loses to Florida they have to win the rest of their games this season.

That would be an extremely difficult task as they still have to play Ole Miss on the road and Missouri at home. Georgia's final two games are much easier wins, but beating Ole Miss and Missouri is not a guarantee.

So hopefully Georgia beats Florida so they can save their loss for later this season. Georgia doesn't want to lose any games, but the longer they can hold onto their second loss to give them some breathing room the better off they'll be.
