Recruiting is beginning to heat up in Athens, and Georgia unsurprisngly is going after some really big fish. One of the top recruits that they are going after is four-star tight end Brock Williams who is quickly closing in on a final decision.
Georgia has been at the top of Williams' recruitment for quite some time, but with a final decision looming it's impossible to know what will happen. But On3 insider Chad Simmons gave UGA some news they can't ignore.

Ohio State and Texas remain heavily in the mix, but momentum is building in Athens as Williams is expected to make his decision in the coming weeks.

Georgia receives great news from nation's No. 1 TE
While an exact commitment date isn't known yet, Williams is expected to make his final decsion in the coming weeks. With that in mind, Simmons released his final prediction on who he thinks will come out on top, and he believes Georgia will win his recruitment.
According to 247Sports, Williams is the No. 38 overall player in the country. He also is the No. 2 tight end in the 2027 recruiting class and the No. 3 overall player from his home state of Illinois.
Ohio State and Texas are the two other teams that Georgia needs to keep an eye on. Those two programs along with Georgia make up what many believe to be Williams' top three, and everyone knows that the Buckeyes and Longhorns are more than capable of winning any recruitment. But right now it is Georgia who is out in front and closing in on a commitment.
This past week tight ends coach Todd Hartley visited Williams at his home, and it is that visit that may have swung things in Georgia's favor.
While Georgia is out in front right now, anything is still possible until he announces his commitment. But Georgia is in a great spot right now and should expect some good news from Williams in the coming weeks.
