One change could save Georgia’s future matchup with Florida State

If we can't have home-and-home series anymore, at least pick a good location for Georgia’s matchup with Florida State.

Neutral site games have become extremely boring, yet common, in college football. The same venues are typically picked every time with little variety in the teams that play.

Atlanta and New Orleans have become the prime location for multiple games a year for Georgia and Kirby Smart. Even though fans want home-and-home series back, it is looking less likely by the day.

Just recently the Bulldogs and Florida State decided to move their home-and-home series to a single neutral site game in 2028. To keep it from being a typical and dull game in someplace like the seven locations that could host this game, these three locations would be a much better options for the fans instead.

Bristol Speedway

It has been nearly a decade since we saw the Battle at Bristol between Tennessee and Virginia Tech. Even though it was a dominating win for Tennessee, the views and the atmosphere was electric.

The game shattered the college football record for attendance for a single game with over 150,000 fans. The scenes and the atmosphere were so cool that fans do not even remember how lopsided the actual game was.

After a decade, it is finally time we get another matchup at this speedway. Georgia and Florida State could be perfect suitors for this venue too. A battle in the South at one of the regions' most popular venues would make for great attendance from both sides.

Please guys, make this one happen. It is a win-win for us all.

Yankee Stadium

For the past few years the New York Yankees have made their iconic ballpark available for two different annual bowl games. Of these games included some of Notre Dame's coolest uniform combos with an iconic Yankee pinstripe look. The Yankees could be interested in opening their ballpark for another game earlier in the year.

A historic ballpark needs two historic programs, and Florida State and Georgia could be those two programs. Imagine the Bulldogs and the Seminoles lining up in Yankee Stadium with both teams wearing classic throwback uniforms. It could be the next time we'd see Georgia's red pants make a return since the Arkansas game in 2020.

Even if this venue isn’t in the south, it would be a prime spot for fans of both teams to make a trip out of surrounding this game.

Daytona International Speedway

This one is more of a longshot, but still very possible. When the Jacksonville Jaguars were in early talks of remodeling their stadium in 2023, which is now currently underway, they actually had conversations with NASCAR officials to possibly use the venue as their temporary home. While that did fall through, the fact that the conversation even happened could give hope to this being a possibility.

Daytona is the perfect middle ground for Georgia and Florida State. A big week zero game being played on Daytona Beach would draw in thousands of college students and make for an amazing weekend and one of the most memorable games of all time.
