One Florida Gator accomplished a rare feat during loss to Georgia

By now most people in the Florida football program know their place when it comes to their rivalry with Georgia. They will talk some smack heading into the game each year, but they know that they can't say too much until they finally beat Georgia.

Florida wide receiver Eric Singleton did not get that message though. This is only his first season with Florida, but entering this game he was already 0-3 against Georgia. This includes losing to them while with Georgia Tech in 2023 and 2024 and adding another loss as an Auburn Tiger last year.

This means that Singleton now has the distinct honor of not only being winless against Georgia in his career, but he has lost to them as a member of each of Georgia's rivals.

Eric Singleton will never be able to recover from losing to Georgia as much as he did

This statistic is already bad enough, but Singleton painted a huge target on his back during the week leading up to this game. During a press conference this week he was speaking about the upcoming game against Georgia, and at the end of one of his answers he said "to hell with Georgia."

This statement is wild to make in general during an official press conference, but to do it while being 0-3 against Georgia and now on a team who hasn't beat UGA since 2020 just makes no sense. That's probably why Florida deleted this part of his answer from their official transcript of the press conference.

Singleton however might go down as the only player to ever lose to Georgia with all of their rivals in his college career. The chances of this happening ever again are slim because it would require someone to play at Georgia Tech, Auburn and Florida in a four year span, and if they do Georgia has to win all four games which isn't a guarantee.

Hopefully Singleton had his fun going viral earlier this week though, because Saturday night he is going viral again for all the wrong reasons.

If Eric Singleton gets one more year of eligibility he should probably transfer to a non-Georgia rival

College football is crazy nowadays when it comes to eligibility. It seems like every year there are a handful of players that are getting an extra year to play college football that don't deserve it. Singleton could get another year of eligibility, and if he does he should be smart about where he chooses to play next.

After losing to Georgia four times while a member of each of their main rivals he might be better off transferring to a school that doesn't play Georgia. Any team outside of the SEC and Georgia Tech is where he should transfer to because the thought of losing to Georgia for a fifth time is hilarious to think about.

At the very least though he would need to play for any school other than Florida, Auburn and Georgia Tech because losing to UGA five times on a rival team would be a record no one might ever touch.
