The wild head coaching carousel for the most part has already come and gone in college football. Programs like LSU, Florida and Virginia Tech have already landed their new head coach, and so far Georgia has not lost any of their assistant coaches to these job openings.

Throughout the second half of this season Georgia has had a few of their coaches linked to these job openings. Defensive coordinator Glenn Schumann has been the main name associated with these openings, but he thankfully has not taken any other job and has seemingly survived the first rush of new hires from programs around the country.

But Penn State has still not found their new head coach yet, and until they hire someone Georgia should be on edge when it comes to retaining all of their assistants.

Georgia should be concerned about Penn State's head coach search

Penn State was one of the first programs to fire their head coach during the season when they decided to move on from James Franklin. One would assume they would have been one of the first schools to hire a new coach since they had a head start compared to everyone else, but that has not happened yet.

Late on Monday it was reported that BYU head coach Kalani Sitake was their top target, but BYU reportedly is doing everything they can to keep him. So at this point it is unclear if he is going to take the job or not, and if he doesn't the Nittany Lions could look at Georgia's assistants as their next target.

It would be hard to turn Penn State down if they came knocking on Georgia's door for someone like Schumann. They are one of the best programs in the Big Ten and are able to recruit at a high level, so that would be a good landing spot for Schumann or any other Georgia assistant.

But hopefully that doesn't end up happening because Georgia has a good thing going with their assistants and it would be nice to keep them for the foreseeable future.
