One of Georgia's biggest problems on offense isn't a problem at all

Georgia fans shouldn't worry about UGA's running back room this season.

Georgia football's offense has a lot to prove this season. The Bulldogs offense struggled during the 2024 season in most aspects of the game including inconsistent quarterback play, wide receiver issues and productivity in the run game.

Georgia however is looking to turn the page this season and prove that all of their problems from last year are a thing of the past.

One of the potential problems Georgia fans have pointed to this season is the running back room's depth. Everyone knows that Nate Frazier will be the starter this season, but who will be his backup?

There are a lot of unproven running backs behind him, but the consensus coming out of fall camp is that Georgia will arguably have too many options at running back this season behind Frazier.

Georgia has more than enough options at RB this season

The first running back behind Frazier is expected to be Illinois transfer Josh McCray. He was a stud last year with Illinois, but he has dealt with an illness for much of fall camp. Kirby Smart has said that this illness isn't holding him back too much, but his health will be something to watch at the start of this season.

After McCray there are a host of Bulldogs who are also ready to impact every game this season. This includes Roderick Robinson who is officially healthy again and freshman Chauncey Bowens who has been one of the top performers on the entire team this fall. And it's impossible to not mention veteran Cash Jones who has become a vocal leader of this group this offseason.

Georgia fans will learn this weekend how UGA intends to fit all of these pieces together, but having this many options is a very good problem to have. And at the very least, if Georgia suffers a lot of injuries this season to their running back room like last year then they will have a lot of bodies to help soften that blow.
