Wednesday night Michigan football fired head coach Sherrone Moore out of nowhere. This news took over the college football world because the Wolverines are one of the biggest programs in the sport. While this news is as big as it gets, on the surface it may not seem like it impacts Georgia all that much. But in reality it could actually have a huge impact them.

In fact, there is one big positive Georgia could see in the coming weeks because of Moore's departure from Michigan's program.

3 Michigan signees Georgia can poach after Sherrone Moore firing

Georgia and Michigan battle on the recruiting trail for many of the same recruits. Just recently Michigan stole a top wide receiver who had been committed to Georgia for close to a year. So knowing how detrimental this news could be for Michigan, there are three recruits the Bulldogs should circle back with.

The first is four-star wide receiver Brady Marchese who Michigan just flipped from Georgia last week. He was committed to the Bulldogs since the beginning of this year before changing his mind at the last second, so if he no longer wants to go to Michigan then Georgia will likely be the team he jumps to.

Georgia was also in the running for five-star running back Savion Hiter. He is the No. 1 running back in the 2026 recruiting class who had the Bulldogs as one of his finalists, so he is someone that could have a lot more interest in Georgia now.

Last but not least is four-star offensive lineman Malakai Lee. Similarly to Hiter he also was very high on Georgia throughout his recruitment as well, he even has spoke about how much he respects offensive line coach Stacy Searels.

At this point it is way too soon to know if these recruits want to leave Michigan since Moore's firing is still so fresh. But if any of these three players decide to leave Michigan, Georgia will be ready to try and bring them to Athens.
