The Georgia Bulldogs have always been a team you can count on to have a really good offensive line since Kirby Smart has been there. However, some years just stand out more than others.
You can look at stats like how they have had 19 linemen drafted in the past decade or how there have been 16 taken since 2020 alone.
To get a better glimpse of how good they could be this season, we did the math. So far, the projected starting five for the offensive line in 2026 is Drew Bobo, Earnest Greene III, Juan Gaston, Dontrell Glover, and Michael Uini. On average, these guys are 6'5", 326 pounds. That is an absolutely ridiculous number if you think about it.
Georgia's offensive line could be best under Kirby Smart yet
The key thing to keep in mind with this size is that only two of these guys are upperclassmen. The other three are only redshirt sophomores. This also includes Gaston and Glover spanning over 6'7". Even though the three guys are sophomores, they got plenty of playing time last season due to injuries across the board.
Now, imagine what these guys can do as full-time starters.
Georgia already had a solid offensive line in 2025. Of that group, the only guy they lost to the draft was Monroe Freeling in the first round. Now, they have a line full of experience and a quarterback that has officially settled into Mike Bobo's offense.
Paired with Gunner Stockton is one of the most loaded backfields Kirby Smart has had in his tenure at Georgia, spanning across four or five guys that could start at another division one school. Given what Smart has done with less, this could be a scary sight for defenses ahead.
Also keep in mind that Georgia has a new offensive line coach this season. Phil Rauscher was promoted to the role this season after serving as an analyst previously. Rauscher also has had key experience being a lineman coach at the pro level for over a decade.
Keep an eye on this team for the Outland Trophy as well as the Joe Moore Award. The Outland Trophy could likely list any of the interior lineman as a finalist but especially redshirt senior Bobo. The Joe Moore award is given to the nation's best offensive line. This is an award that the Bulldogs have never won, but if they are ever going to, now is as good of a time as ever.
