Kirby Smart and his staff are doing everything that they can to beef up the offensive line with the 2026 recruiting class. Georgia football is after the two best offensive tackles in the country who just so happen to be inside the top three in the country as well.

The first offensive tackle Georgia is aggressive pursuing is five-star Immanuel Iheanacho who is the No. 3 overall player in the country and No. 2 offensive tackle. Iheanacho recently gave Georgia some great news as the Bulldogs were one of five schools to get an official visit scheduled with him for later this summer.

So while Smart and his staff continue to recruit Iheanacho, they also have their eyes set on the No. 1 offensive tackle in the country who is also the top ranked player in the nation. Both of these recruitments are clearly very important, but it turns out that they might just be a package deal.

5-star OT Jackson Cantwell

Jackson Cantwell is also a five-star offensive tackle in the 2026 recruiting class who is the No.1 player in the country according to the 247Sports composite rankings. Georgia made the top six for Cantwell as well, so the hope is that UGA will be able to come away with at least one of these extremely talented players.

However, Cantwell and Iheanacho might be a pakcage deal based on the above post from Cantwell. And if they are a package deal, it appears Georgia is one of the three schools they could be interested in as Cantwell named Georgia, Oregon and Miami (FL) in his above post.

Both of these recruitments will be fun to follow throughout this recruiting cycle like they would be for any five-star player, but the fact that they could be a package deal makes it even better. So hopefully UGA can remain at the top of both player's lists so there is still a chance to land both as a package deal.
