College GameDay said "no thanks" to the top 10 showdown in Oxford that puts No. 2 Georgia and No. 10 Ole Miss against each other. Instead they are in South Bend, IN to hype up Notre Dame's showdown against No. 1 Miami.

Even though Georgia's matchup with Ole Miss isn't the featured game on College GameDay the crew still spent a lot of time discussing this matchup. This includes making their picks on who they think will win this pivotal matchup in the SEC, and every member of the crew picked Georgia to win other than Pat McAfee who picked the Rebels to upset UGA.

Pat McAfee is the lone GameDay member to pick Ole Miss over Georgia

Vegas oddsmakers currently favor Georgia over Ole Miss by 3.5 points. This shows that either team is capable of winning this matchup, but the GameDay crew agrees with Vegas that Georgia is the most likely team to win. Instead of letting Georgia celebrate being the unanimous pick on GameDay to win McAfee spoiled their fun by picking Ole Miss.

It's hard to blame McAfee for picking Ole Miss though. The Rebels have won two of the last three meetings against Georgia which includes their playoff win a season ago. Quarterback Trinidad Chambliss has also dominated Georgia the two times he's faced them, and now that he's playing them at home he could be in for another big day.

The consensus though is that Georgia is the favorite, but McAfee is the lone GameDay member who is riding with Ole Miss.

What's at stake when Georgia plays Ole Miss?

Georgia is in complete control of their destiny to make the SEC Championship game and College Football Playoff. In the SEC they are one of just two teams with one loss, so if they win out they are guaranteed to make it to Atlanta. If Georgia loses to Ole Miss then they'll need some help from other teams to get to the SEC Championship game.

Georgia also is the No. 2 team in the CFP rankings. This likely means that they can lose another game and still make the playoff, but they might not be able to afford two more losses. It would be nice to hold onto that breathing room for as long as possible, but if they lose to the Rebels their margin for error is gone.

Ole Miss is in a completely different position since they already have two losses this season. They still are in position to make the playoff as they are the No. 10 team in the country, but if they lose to Georgia they will drop outside the top 12. They also still have a chance to make the SEC Championship game and a win over Georgia could put them in the drivers seat, but a loss would make it unrealistic for them to get to Atlanta.

So much is on the line for both teams in this game. Ole Miss may be a little more desperate to win this game, but Georgia is looking for revenge after losing to the Rebels in the playoff last season and dropping two of the last three meetings against Ole Miss.
