Georgia football is more than trending in the right direction after they took down No. 1 Texas last weekend. But even with the team looking much better, there are still a lot of issues that need to be addressed for Georgia to be the absolute best version of themseleves.

One of those areas is the offense, specifically the quarterback play of Carson Beck.

Beck hasn't been terrible by any means, but his play during the Bulldogs' last two games hasn't been what we expected from him. Beck has thrown five interceptions during Georgia's last two games, and most recently only completed 56 percent of his passes against Texas. That likely isn't good enough to win a national championship.

People throughout the country are noticing this same thing as well, including ESPN's Paul Finebaum.

“It’s definitely a bizarre year for him (Beck),” Finebaum said via ugawire.usatoday.com. “He started, as everyone knows, as the No. 1 quarterback in college football. He’s not that anymore.”

The sentiment behind this statement from Finebaum make a lost of sense, because Beck hasn't been good enough recently. But it is a little over the top. Did most people actually think Beck was the No. 1 QB in the country heading into the season? There are a couple other names that most talked about before Beck, but that's besides the point.

The point Finebaum is attempting to make is that Beck isn't playing as well this season as anyone thought he would, including Georgia fans. So even though Finebaum had an interesting way of getting his point across, it's hard to disagree with him.

Hopefully the bye week will be good for Beck and he will come out against Florida looking much improved. If Kirby Smart and Georgia want to win their third national championship in four years, Beck is going to have to improve fast.
