Quarterfinals

1. Texas beats Arizona State 34-14

2. Oregon beats Ohio State 31-21

3. Penn State beats Boise State 24-13

4. Georgia beats Indiana 28-17

The quarterfinals is when the top four seeds enter the playoff, but half of these teams are not your typical top four seeds. The CFP committee likely is going to need to change their rules soon, because 3-seed Boise State and 4-seed Arizona State do not belong on this seed line, and they will both be exposed and lose to Texas and Penn State.

Georgia will also handle their business against an Indiana team that is capable of scoring a lot of points, but hasn't gone up against an SEC caliber defense like Georgia. The big question mark surrounding Georgia is the health of QB Carson Beck, but UGA should have no issues winning this game without Beck under center.

The most anticipated game in this round will be Ohio State vs. Oregon, which is a rematch from earlier this season when the Ducks won at home by one point. Ohio State head coach Ryan Day however has never been able to prove himself on the biggest stages, and after a great win against Tennessee he won't be able to follow it up and will lose to Oregon in the Rose Bowl for the second time this season.
