Georgia football has already earned what will be known as their biggest commitment in the 2026 recruiting class. That title will be given to Jared Curtis, who is the No. 1 quarterback in the country.
But it goes without saying that Curtis will need a lot of help around him if he’s going to lead Georgia to championships like he’s capable of. So it’s important for Kirby Smart and his staff to continue to pursue their other targets hard, especially on the offensive side of the ball.
While Georgia’s staff will continue to lead the recruiting efforts, Curtis has decided he’s going to pitch in and help out as well. One of the most recent examples of this is Curtis sending a direct message to the recruits visiting Athens this weekend, telling them to “make the right choice.”
Speaking of recruits visiting this weekend, five-star wide receiver Cederian Morgan is one of the most important targets taking their official visit to Georgia this weekend. And the move that Curtis just made with Morgan specifically will surely increase Georgia’s chances of landing him.
Jared Curtis will play summer ball with 5-star WR Cederian Morgan
Word came out on Saturday that Curtis and Morgan will be teaming up this summer in 7 on 7 competitions. This obviously shows how close these two are while also being a great sign of what could be on the horizon.
Curtis and Morgan will now be spending a lot of time together this summer, and Curtis will undoubtedly be in his ear about joining him in Georgia and creating an electric duo that will terrorize the rest of the country.
According to 247Sports, Morgan is the No. 11 overall player in the country. He also is the No. 2 wide receiver in the 2026 class and the top ranked player from Alabama. The Tide appear to be the biggest competition for Georgia, but this latest news could be the tipping point in Georgia’s favor.
Thankfully UGA fans won’t have to wait too long to find out Morgan’s final decision, because he already has his commitment date scheduled for July 2.
