The month of June turned into a recruiting playground for the Georgia Bulldogs. It seemed like nearly every day there was a new blue-chip prospect added to the 2026 class. As we enter July, the Bulldogs recruiting class has risen to No. 2 in the nation.
Georgia's recruiting class currently sits at 26 commitments and there are still a lot of major targets left out there. Here is a quick breakdown of the 16 prospects that pledged to the Bulldogs in June.
No. 16: Wade Register, Punter, Trinity Christian (Dublin, Ga.)
Register joined the class on June 11. As with most kickers, punters, and long snappers, you only notice them when they shank punts, miss kicks or make bad snaps. Kohl's kicking website has Register rated him as the top punter in the nation.
No. 15: Harran Zureikat, PK, Fox Chapel Area, (Pittsburgh Pa.)
Zurelkat completed Georgia's special teams recruiting with a June 12 pledge. Kohl's had him as the top kicker in the nation.
No. 14: Zachary Lewis, OL, North Gwinnett (Suwanee, Ga.)
Lewis, who committed on June 9, should project out as a right guard. He has put on some weight over the past year and shows a lot of natural toughness with a little bite to his game. Lewis might take a while to develop, but should provide good depth on the offensive line.
No. 13: Zykie Helton, OL, Carrollton (Ga.)
Helton made his declaration to the Bulldogs on June 11. His size (6-2, 290) suggests he'll play center, which means he'll have to learn how to snap and call out line assignments. Helton is a good athlete and projects well at the position, but he might be a little small to play guard if center doesn't work out.
No. 12: Corey Howard, DL, Valdosta (Ga.)
Howard, who joined the class on June 24, is one of the more intriguing players. He has some significant upside based on his size and 6-foot-6 frame. But it's going to take some patience to get there. Certainly a player worth monitoring in the seasons ahead.
No. 11: Chace Calicut, S, North Shore (Houston, Texas)
Calicut committed on June 27. His size (6-3, 190) and athletic profile are outstanding. Could he grow into being a linebacker or more of a box safety? Sure. There are a lot of tools there, but still some questions about his exact fit on the Bulldogs defense.
No. 10: Preston Carey, DL, IMG Academy (Bradenton, Fla.)
Carey was the final of the June commits, making his pledge on June 30. The size and length tell me that Carey can play anywhere along the line. He's originally from the Long Island area, and he's been at IMG for a bit now, so he's going to step on campus ready to compete. Most sites have him as a borderline high 3-star/low 4-star, but he's a little bit better than that.
Wait… Preston Carey was offered by Georgia in the 8th grade 😂😂😂 pic.twitter.com/yE57AUNP8d

No. 9: Craig Dandridge, WR, Cambridge (Alpharetta, Ga.)
Dandridge, who added himself to the Bulldogs WR haul on June 26, might be a little under appreciated by the websites, where he is a composite three-star prospect. I love his catch radius and the fact that he'll compete for the ball at a high point. He put up a monster season as a junior with over 1,400 yards and 14 touchdown catches.
No, 8: Khamari Brooks, EDGE, North Oconee (Bogart, Ga.)
Brooks is one of two potential edge rushers that committed in June (June 23 to be exact). Great athlete that also plays wide receiver. He probably needs a little more in the toolbox as a pass rusher. There's a lot to work with here.
No. 7:Jae Lamar, RB, Colquitt County (Moultrie, Ga.)
There are some things about Lamar that excite Bulldog fans. The speed/size combination is impressive. Lamar has the sort of acceleration that makes him a threat to make a house call on any carry. His vision and the way he can set up blocks puts him in the discussion for the top 10 backs in the country (he is currently rated as the No. 11 RB in the country on composite rankings)
Jae Lamar reminds me a lot of Nick Chubb. Same height not as heavy (yet) but a powerful runner. https://t.co/8qSuRJNPNZ

No. 6: Shadarius Toodle, LB, Cottage Hill Christian Academy (Mobile, Ala.)
Toodle, a June 22 commit, is the other player that could end up being an edge rusher in this class or an inside linebacker. He plays at a lower level of competition in high school, but he dominates at that level. Toodle has great jump, and he can navigate himself in space. He's a versatile piece that should offer Georgia a lot of options as he fills out his frame.
No. 5: Caden Harris, CB, Haywood (Brownsville, Tenn.)
Harris, who added his name to the Bulldogs haul at cornerback on June 14, has elite top-end speed. He can get to the ball quickly. Harris also likes to throw his body around a bit and isn't afraid to get his hands dirty. He'll have to put more weight on his frame to continue to play that style.
No. 4: Pierre Dean, DL, West Forsyth (Clemmons, N.C.)
Dean wasn't always viewed as a defensive line prospect, but that is likely going to be his future, and it could be a fruitful one. He'll put on some good weight in college and that should bode well for his development as he continues to get more comfortable on the defensive side of the ball.
No. 3: Justice Fitzpatrick, CB, St. Thomas Aquinas (Fort Lauderdale, Fla.)
The younger brother of Minkah Fitzpatrick committed to the Bulldogs on June 3. There are a ton of tools here and areas where Fitzpatrick that he's already very good at and can still get much better. He naturally projects as an outside cornerback who will take on the top assignments. Fitzpatrick is a little more advanced at this stage, which rates him slightly higher than Harris in my opinion.
No. 2: Ekene Ogboko, OT/OL, South Garner (Garner, N.C.)
Ogboko has NFL potential, whether it's at guard or tackle. He'll probably have an opportunity to do both during his time in Athens. Ogboko shows a strong foundation and good physical strength. He is more than athletic enough to get to the second level quickly and has some nastiness to his game.
No. 1: James Johnson, DL, Northwestern (Miami, Fla.)
Johnson has the potential to be the best interior defensive lineman in the nation. He is rated as the No. 13 DL prospect and that seems criminally low. The strength he possesses is undeniable and Johnson can bully his way through an offensive line with his power and arm length. As Johnson continues to become a more consistent player down-to-down, his ceiling just gets higher.
2026 DL commit :: James Johnson out of Northwestern HS in Miami. # 1⃣ at his position for a reason. He is quick, explosive and arrives pissed off to the football. Gives me vibes of 9⃣5⃣. What a great week for #UGA recruiting and it isn't cooling off anytime soon. #GoDawgs pic.twitter.com/OPE3QzAT1m
