Rivals rankings refuse to give 5-star Kemon Spell the respect he deserves

Kemon Spell deserves to be ranked even higher than he is.

The No. 1 commit in Georgia's recruiting class is Kemon Spell. According to Rivals, he is a five-star running back and the No. 11 overall player in the country.

It's hard to find something to complain about when he is ranked that high, but an argument could be made that he should be ranked even higher. In fact, he absolutely should be ranked higher, but Rivals dropped his ranking a few months ago and they refuse to put it back to where it should be.

5-star Georgia commit Kemon Spell doesn't get the respect he deserves in latest Rivals recruiting rankings update

Two months ago Rivals released an update to their recruiting rankings. In that update Spell dropped from inside the top 10 recruits in the country to No. 11. That is hardly something to get upset over, but the difference between No. 11 and No. 10 seems substantial.

So for Spell's sake it was a little unfortunate to see him fall outside the top 10.

Rivals released yet another update to their recruiting rankings on Monday and Spell held steady at No. 11. There is a strong argument to be made about why he should've been put back inside the top 10, but that unfortunately did not happen.

Regardless of what the recruiting services think of Spell, Georgia knows that they have an elite running back itching to come to Athens. He has even shot down rumors in the past couple months of him being interested in flipping to another school, so not only is Georgia all in on Spell but he is all in on UGA as well.

As long as Spell remains in Georgia's recruiting class it doesn't really matter what he is ranked. He was the Bulldogs No. 1 choice at running back this cycle, so it truly doesn't matter what any third party thinks.

At the same time though it would be really cool to have a top 10 player in the country committed to Georgia, so hopefully Rivals puts him back in the top 10 with their next update.
