Georgia's official athletic social media accounts posted a cryptic message on Wednesday. It was a picture of a butterfly with no caption at all, so fans initally had no clue what this could mean.
In today's college athletic landscape it could be one of many things. The most likely meaning behind this confusing post fans came up with was a new sponsorship for Georgia's athletic programs, but after a little digging it may have nothing to do with that. Instead it could be a hint at an upcoming concert from one of the world's biggest superstars Noah Kahan.
Kahan is a Grammy nominated artist most known for his hit song "Stick Season." He released his second album earlier this year which was another slam dunk, and now he is planning a big tour throughout 2027. Before we make the connection to prove this is what Georgia's cryptic post was about, here is the exact post Georgia shared on Wednesday.

Noah Kahan could be coming to Athens, GA next year
On Mastercard's Noah Kahan website there is a countdown that is under one day now. Below that countdown there is a spot that says "Noah Kahan Presents The Last Of the Bugs Tour" and in that section there is a picture of 17 bugs. The butterfly posted by Georgia's social media accounts is a perfect match to the first bug on this image, and below the butterfly are six blank tiles that could eventually be used to spell Athens.
This past spring Georgia held two concerts at Sanford Stadium. These occurred on April 25 and 26 and were headlined by Jason Aldean and Luke Bryan, whose son Bo Bryan just committed to Georgia. These concerts were a huge success, so much so that it looks like Kahan is eyeing Athens for his next tour.
The best part of this has far more to do with Kahan coming to Athens. He is a global superstar who is selling out stadiums left and right, so it is a big deal if he chooses to come play a show or two in Athens. If our hypothesis is correct though it looks like Athens could be the first stop of this tour.
The countdown timer will end on Thursday which is likely when Georgia fans will find out if this cryptic post by UGA's social media account has to do with Noah Kahan's upcoming tour. At this point it seems like a lock that it will be true, so fans of Kahan should be ready to act fast because tickets to his show will probably sell out fast.
