Georgia football has a big matchup looming against Ole Miss this weekend. While all of the attention is on the two teams as they battle it out on the field, there will be a new logo featured on Dooley Field in Sanford Stadium that Georgia fans will get to see for the first time this weekend.

“We are thrilled to have Delta represented on Dooley Field at Sanford Stadium,” Georgia athletic director Josh Brooks said via dawgnation.com. “With the ongoing transformation of college athletics, partnerships like ours with Delta continue to enhance the experience for our student-athletes, fans, and the entire Georgia community.”

New Delta logo will be featured on Georgia's field this season

According to Georgia Athletic Director Josh Brooks, a Delta logo will be featured on Dooley Field in Sanford Stadium for the rest of the season.

This is the perfect time for Georgia to begin this partnership with Delta because the Bulldogs have multiple big games quickly approaching on their schedule. Including the Ole Miss game this Saturday, Georgia has three more home games. One of the three games against Charlotte is a pretty unremarkable game, but Georgia's matchups with Ole Miss and Texas are as big as it gets.

This likely was a big motivation for Delta to begin this partnership with Georgia because there will be millions of eyeballs on both of these games, so this will be great exposure for their company.

The first chance for fans to see this new logo is this weekend when Georgia takes on Ole Miss. The Bulldogs are favored to win by 7.5 points, but there are some out there who believe it will be a much closer game than that.

Will this new partnership lead to a big victory for Georgia? Delta better hope so, because their logo might be blamed by some fans if the Bulldogs fall short to Ole Miss.
