9. Georgia Bulldogs
Heading to the bottom half of the SEC power rankings we have another team who has is doing better than most people expected in the Georgia Bulldogs. Similar to some other teams in the SEC, Georgia hasn't played that difficult of a schedule, but they do have two strong wins agasint St. John's and Notre Dame.
The Bulldogs also have a competitive loss to Marquette as well as Ole Miss, who they lost to over the weekend. Georgia did lose to the Rebels by double figures, but they did lead Ole Miss on the road at halftime and cut their second half lead to a couple points late in the game before Ole Miss pulled away.
Similarly to Ole Miss, Georgia is going to have to win a few more games before anyone in the SEC will take them seriously, and they have an amazing chance to do that in the coming weeks. Georgia's next four games are all against ranked opponents, beginning Tuesday night when Kentucky comes to Athens for a mid-week game. Georgia then hosts a very beatable Oklahoma team on Saturday, giving UGA a chance to earn two big wins this week at home.
One win out of these two would be very good for Georgia, but winning both would show that Georgia is in fact a dark horse in the SEC this season.
