Georgia only has two more games left this season with their final home game of the year coming this Saturday against Charlotte. The last home game of the seaosn is always an emotional time as it will be the last chance most Georgia fans will get to see the Bulldogs in person until next year, but at the same time it is exciting to celebrate the senior class and the season as a whole.
Unfortunately the SEC decided to punish Georgia with one of the worst start times imaginable for Saturday's game.
SEC gives Georgia worst start time possible for final home game of the season
Georgia's final home game of the season is on Saturday, Nov. 22 at 12:45 pm EST. No one wants a game to start this early, but that is especially the case when it's Georgia's last home game of the season.
The SEC might have thought that it doesn't make sens to give Georgia a primetime game against an opponent as bad as Charlotte, but that logic gets thrown out the window after seeing what they did for LSU. The Tigers are having a very bad season this year as they enter this weekend at 6-4. Just like Georgia they also play a bad opponent in Western Kentucky this weekend, but the SEC still granted them a night game at 7:45 pm EST.
So why not give Georgia, a team competing for an SEC and National Championship, the better game time?
It's unfortunate that Georgia's 2025 home slate has to end this way, but the Bulldogs have their eyes set on things much more important than a night game. Georgia is looking to make a run at a National Championship this season while teams like LSU will be watching from home, so they can enjoy the night game while UGA enjoys playing meaningful football games the rest of the season.
