Even though former Georgia football quarterback Carson Beck announced his decision to transfer to Miami (FL) over a month ago, Beck is still someone UGA fans are paying close attention to. And that likely will not stop all season as Georgia fans will probably want to keep tabs on Beck and Miami all throughout next season.

Georgia fans will especially want to see if UGA will have a better season then Beck and Miami next year. While it may be difficult to compare the two teams because they are in difference conferences, people will look to their overall records and if they won their conference or made the College Football Playoff to determine who had the better season.

Georgia fans will be confident that they will have a better season than Miami, but that likely is because they are a little biased. But 247Sports analyst Tom Loy is not biased and he believes Beck and Miami will struggle next season.

"He's (Beck) talented enough, but I don't think he has enough weapons to truly compete for a national title."

Why will Miami struggle next season?

According to Loy, he thinks Miami will struggle next season because Beck does not have enough weapons around him. While that may be true, there are a few other reasons why the Hurricanes could struggle next season as well.

For starters, they have a lot of difficult games on their schedule including Notre Dame in their season opener as well as Florida, Florida State, SMU and Louisville. Sure Georgia's schedule is more difficult, but the Bulldogs are better equipped to handle the difficult teams on their schedule.

Loy also believes Beck won't be the problem for Miami next season, but that isn't a guarantee. Beck struggled at times this past season with Georgia including a brutal stretch where he couldn't stop throwing interceptions. So there is a lot of unknown surrounding which version of Beck will show up at Miami.

It remains to be seen if Beck and Miami will actually struggle next season or not, but there's no denying that there is a chance that they have a great season. And that season could end with the Hurricanes meeting Georgia in the College Football Playoff which is something likely every Georgia fan would love to see happen.
