Should we be concerned about Carson Beck's recent play?

Georgia football is at an all time high right now after knocking off the No. 1 Texas Longhorns on the road 30-15. And while it is very difficult to be picky just two days after that big win, I think there is one thing that is very concerning as we look towards the final stretch of Georgia's season.

The quarterback play from Carson Beck.

Now before everyone gets upset, let me explain. Beck has been very good this season, better than most quarterbacks in the country. Beck has completed 66 percent of his passes this seasons for 1,993 yards and 15 touchdowns. Putting the stats aside for a second, Beck also has shown that he can make every single throw needed to be a very successful quarterback.

But there is still one thing about his recent performances that has me nervous for the rest of the season.

Carson Beck's inconsistencies

Beck has not been a very consistent QB this year, especially recently. That was even seen in Georgia's win over Texas on Saturday when he threw three interceptions. Turning the ball over in general has been a problem for Beck recently as he also had two interceptions against Mississippi State two games ago and had three more during Georgia's only loss to Alabama.

Not only is he struggling with turning the ball over, he is also starting slow each and every game. To be fair to Beck, this is a problem with the entire Georgia offense, but I think it all starts with the quarterback under center. In my eyes, it is just a matter of time until another next team takes advantage of a slow start on offense just like Alabama did.

Thankfully the UGA defense has been playing extremely well so it hasn't mattered recently, but I'd love to not have to be fully reliant on them every single game.

I know I am probably being a little picky right now, but I still think this is something worth mentioning and discussing. We at Georgia expect to win national championships. And while I still think the Bulldogs can win it all with how they are playing right now, it would be much easier to do so if Beck is a little more consistent and stops turning the ball over.

If that happens, I don't think any team in the country will be able to hang with Georgia.
