One of the more recent commits Georgia football has earned is from four-star safety Chace Calicut, who committed to UGA on June 27. Not only is Calicut one of the top recruits in the country, but Georgia won this recruitment over in-state powerhouse Texas who was aggressively pursuing Calicut as well.

Beating Texas for any recruit is a big deal, but it doesn't get much better than watching Georgia go into their state and steal a top recruit that the Longhorns desperately want.

This win gave Georgia fans a lot of ammunition to continue trolling Texas fans as UGA has dominated them since the Longhorns joined the SEC. But not only are Georgia fans rubbing this victory in the faces of Texas fans, so too is Calicut who made the below social media post on Thursday.

Chace Calicut trolls Texas after leaving the state for Georgia

The above statement is extremely bold coming from Calicut because it is going to upset a lot of Texas fans. However, there may be some truth to it this recruiting cycle.

Out of the top 20 players from the state of Texas in the 2026 class, the Longhorns have only been able to earn one commitment from this group. So this shows that Calicut may be on to something as the top recruits are doing everything they can to avoid going to Texas.

Texas fans likely will come after Calicut after they see this post, and they do have every reason to be upset about this. But there is nothing Texas fans can really say to Georgia after they lost to UGA not once, but twice last season.

Georgia and Texas will do battle again this season in Athens towards the end of the regular season, and if Georgia is able to beat the Longhorns again then the trash talk from UGA will only get worse for Texas fans.
