Georgia football's offense is riding off after their impressive showing this past weekend during their win again Tennessee. Gunner Stockton had complete control of the offense and made a few elite throws to help keep pace with Tennessee. Georgia's wide receivers also made some big plays in the passing game as well.

But it was Georgia's running back room that was arguably the most impressive as they flexed their muscles against the Tennessee defense all game long. Five different running backs received a significant amount of playing time on Saturday, but there was one Bulldog in particular who has shown through three games this season that he deserves more playing time.

Dwight Phillips needs the ball in his hands more

Sophomore running back Dwight Phillips had a quiet but productive game against the Volunteers. He received five carries against Tennessee that he turned into 29 yards. This means Phillips had 5.8 yards per carry which is very solid especially against a team like Tennessee.

But Phillips average yards per carry this season is actually much better than 5.8. In fact, it is a lot better as he has averaged a whopping 8.5 yards per carry so far this season.

In total Phillips has received 17 carries which he's turned into 144 yards and a touchdown. For being pretty far down on Georgia's depth chart, this is a very solid season so far, but it's starting to look more and more like he needs to touch the ball more.

Nate Frazier will always be the No.1 running back for Georgia this season, so he should keep receiving a buik of the carries. But after Frazier there isn't an obvious No. 2 option. Chauncey Bowens was that guy against Tennessee, but he only had 2.7 yards per carry which is a big step below Phillips. So it may be time for Mike Bobo and Kirby Smart to start increasing Phillips carries, because so far this year he has made the most of every opportunity given to him.
